Hello all I normally spend most of my time in race section but recently sold my 432 stroker to a guy who is putting it in his 70 b body 4 speed car dont know the rear ratio but would assume 3.54 or better. He is thinking the edelbrock performer power pack but I think he is leaving to much on the table cam is about 215 dur at .050 and 460 lift with 84 cc heads will be about 10-1.Engine is balanced with 440 scource h beam rods and flat top pistons .005 in hole quench dist of .044.Some times im a bit agressive with my combos but I dont think he will race it much just wants a strong street performer that will sound good and burn the tires from here to there and back again if he is so inclined.Heres what im thinking......Stealth heads I know there are according to some some quality issues but if you have a machine shop touch them up everyone seems to be happy with them plus the 80cc combustion chamber will boost compression to 10.3-1 all for substaintally less then edelbrocks, performer rpm with a 750 carb pick your fav, maybe even 800 and a cam with about 240 dur @.050 and a little over .500 lift maybe even the old faithfull 509 purple cam.I think this would have some low 12 sec capabilities and still drive pretty well and put a huge smile on his face when he hits the loud peddle please let me know if im off base or have further input Really want him impressed with his new engine. Thanks Dan

I think the 440source heads would be just fine. The cam id check out the comp xe285hl or the next size up. They have more lift. For carb id use a holley 750dp mechanical secondary.
