I picked up a MP cam, part number P4452761, from a friend of mine. I was toying with the idea of sliding it into the 360 in my 78 Fury since the XE256 that was in there decided to have a few collapsed lifters one day. The 360 is a stock 78 E58 with the addition of Magnum heads, a dual plane M1, and a 600 Carterbrock. Im running Hooker Comp headers into 2.5" duals with an h-pipe, 3.55 SG and an A518. Would this cam be ok in a heavy car with a 2000 stall? Im not looking for a lopey idle or to be a complete dog down low and get 12mpg. I understand the 78 had soup dish pistons and were a mile down in the hole, but the XE256 ran strong until I pulled it. I posted the specs below. Im thinking there might be too much duration at .050" Should I go for something smaller? Anyone?
