Putting an electric is just a bandaid if there is a leak. In time the leak may get worse and the electric may not prime either.




I agree. I had a fuel pump that would suck, but wouldn't hold the vacuum. Comparing the new and old pumps with a vacuum gauge made this very obvious.

Once it's running it has enough oomph to pull fuel through, but not while it's cranking.
