Sounds like Calif and Australia are lot closer then I thought.

And I agree on the comment on a proper weld strenght. And "probably for a reason" is not always the reason one would hope for, but ignorance is bliss. Read the XV thread and just grind the welds smooth, beadblast the spindle, and tell the inspectors if they ask its a custom shotpeened billet spindle. So whats next, non welded steel wheels?

Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.
