it did, but the sfi shield did it's job. seriously, if everything were going well with the nhra and the economy, and so on, i'd be nervous about this idea of his, but with things the way they are, i like it. more power to him. he's trying to generate more interest in the sport we love. i give him a thumbs up. 
So long as that showboat rig doesn't end up being parked in the pits at every National event, I'm ok with it. Or else, park it on the non-pits side of the track at those events where there's a separation between the pits and the spectator side. These pro guys and their traveling entourages have sucked up more prime pits real estate over the last 10-15 years that the sportsman guys are dodging cow flops and chuck holes pitting out in the back 40.
put him in nitro alley? 
for what is the good life if not doing things thoughtfully?
