I bought 295/55 ET Street Radials for the Road Runner in 2011, I've driven them for three Drag Weeks, including driving the car from Indiana to Kansas and back in 2011. Total milage is probably about 5000 miles, probably 40-45 passes total. Also driven a few times in some pretty heavy rain and on wet roads, albeit cautiously and with some pucker factor by the driver, I never had any wet traction problems. With smaller (235/70) T/A radials on the front, the car drives nicely on the street. The tires are now almost down to the wear indicators. I do short burnouts to conserve the tires. Hook is OK, but my chassis setup is basically stock (crap), so my 60 foots are about 1.7X running about 11.5X @120+.
