So, nobody uses the old "tool bit brazed to a valve" homemade in place cutter anymore? A good way to be sure the cutter is in the correct position is to do the cutting from the actual valve guide that will be above the piston.




Id like to see a pic of that "tool" John. It was just more simple for me to use a old valve drop it down the guide and punch the piston at TDC, seems that this way would be just as accurate, and cheap to make also.
