Thanks for this, Scott. My intake is a Edelbrock RPM Performer. I find that strange that the intake would make a difference, but you never know!

I'll keep digging for that thread but I remember people saying the paper will burn up and are basically useless - seemed like general consensus was to use RTV only - but I wanted to be certain.
