Very carefully!

Green masking tape and brand new x-acto knife blades and lots of patience!

Don't cut into the aluminum but just deep enough to get through the tape.

I sprayed some paint in a cup and used a modeling brush to do the tiny areas that only required a drop or two of paint in between the center grille bars.
