I simply use a stainless hardtop molding, cut the ends slightly, and install it under the a-pillar mouldings with a silicone bead in the original lockstrip channel. Hold the molding down with something heavy in three places for 24 hours and it will last a lifetime. Done it with quite a few cars over the last 20 years with no problems!
