another way to keep it low is to use a twinscrew blower with the inlet in the back of the case ontop of a low intakemanifold

this is one of the few dragcars i know about using a twinscrew you can see some pics there of the car check them out and see what you think,also this thing has a very tall singleplane intakemanifold with a tall adaptor for the blower ontop of it so a lower intakemanifold made with height in mind will make it alot lower
