FWIW we have a 2006 grand caravan SXT 3.8L, rear air, power side doors, stow-n-go etc. we get 18-20 in the city in the summer and 25-28 highway. in the winter those numbers drop ~ 2mpg. it's very comfortable for 2 adults, a baby, 2 70lb dogs, and all our stuff on trips, is cheap to insure (less to insure than my wife's old 2000 escort ZX2 was)

and with all the seats folded down, you can haul 4x8 sheets of plywood...
