I bought a set of 440-1 heads last year , trying to install them on my low deck stroker. I noticed witness marks on the heads from the intake pushrods, some angled and some not so angled. My questionis, is it neccessary to use offset roller lifters with the -1 heads or not? I ground the witness marks out on both heads and got lucky on one side, 3 out of the 4 don't rub now, not so lucky on the other sde, all four are rubbing enough to make the pushrods not turn with my fingers at TDC on the firing stroke BTW, anyone not using offset lifters versus how many are using them
