I moved the spring from to where the yellow arrow and now the adjustment rod now rests against the shaft pin (purple dot). It's been in the wrong spot for quite awhile. That makes sense but did not fix it.



The car was running and shifting pretty good and shifting until suddenly. Dont know how the retaining pin came out but maybe the bottom end of the linkage got knocked out of adjustment as well

I'll do the adjustment KOWAL mentioned next.
