To answer your quest ion further - you want the rear of the slot on the KD linkage in constant contact with the throttle pin and have it start to move rearward when the throttle starts to open and move continually through out throttle movement. This is what controls the internal throttle pressures in the transmission and controls the shift points.. The KD linkage should be held forward to the throttle pin by a small spring. (Number 13) To progress to have approx. 1/8 inch more travel (+/-) to fully back when the throttle if wide open.
