I have used several cam/lifter packages that have been "previously tested". The only cam failure that I have had was with a new cam and lifter set that I broke in properly. As a matter of fact, the cam and lifter set that are in my Hemi right now are an old Sig Erson set. The fellow at Erson cams had to look at a 1969 catalog to find the specs on it for me. 4,000 miles later it is still burning rubber!

Is it a chance? Maybe. If everything looks good and the lifters rotate in their bores, I'll run it.
