Trying to sort out the correct choke setting procedure for my AVS. The FSM is no real help in this area....

I have one of the repro "45" chokes bolted to the intake. I originally had a hard time getting the rod to even fit without jamming up the choke butterfly. Finally got some advice from 62max I think about loosening the nut on the bi-metallic spring to shorten up the rod a bit but now I think I went too far.
Choke wont set in the AM....and when I manually activate the fast idle, it wont kick down.

HELP!
