I have only raced with street radials and found they would get greassy if I got em too hot so I just get the rear tires wet put it in 1st and stomp it with no brakes for a couple seconds and they were good to go. No need to run 6000rpm mabey 4000 max, I always run a VB with low band apply and never had a problem.

My favorite car I drag raced was a 4dr 66 dart with a mild 360 and a 2.94 open 7.25 rear. I pulled pretty consistent 2.1 60s and ocasionally got a 2.0 flat. When doing the burn out with that car I had to run the steering back and forth a little to make sure both tires got a little spin.

I am not causing global warming, I am just trying to hold off a impending Ice Age!
