OH SNAP!! My source starter is doing the same thing. I was getting ready to change the battery cable, (4 gauge with battery in the trunk) and I wondered if some,part,all, of it might be the starter.

Anybody else experience heat soak with the source starter on a regular basis?



I had the same problem w/ an auto parts starter. Try and shield the starter some if you can. The Hooker super comps I have now don't seem to come as close so I hope I won't have the same issue. FWIW a hammer and a jack handle will fix the "no-start" issue.
