Im gunna be pulling the heads off my 408 in the near future while im doing a cam swap.I am going to home port them and gasket match them as well as the Victor intake.I have ported sum Chevy heads both big and small block years ago with good results.I have never done this on a Mopar though (mainly because this is the 1st one i have owned). Its a race only deal ,so im after all i can get.Can someone please tell me the areas to concentrate on and the areas to stay away from.I know it would be better to have them done by a Pro and flowed as well ,but i want to do it myself.I actually find this kind of stuff rewarding and time is no object on it.They are Econo W2 heads and i believe they are the early variety (70's).The cam is gunna be a solid and the motor will see about 6500rpm tops naturally aspirated .Before and after pics would be great if you have them .Thanks in advance ...
