I swapped the 275's from the rear on to the front, and it looks like a close, but good fit. I cranked the wheel fully from side to side and checked all clearances, and the closest the tire got was slightly more than 1/2 inch at the point of the modification. The back side of the wheel opening was good, and the inside (near the frame) was good on when cranked both ways. I took 2 more pics to show the fit.

The first one is from about the same place as the closer side shot in the previous pics, and was taken before I moved the wheel position to give some reference on how much closer it is with the larger tire.
