I'm in the same boat, trying to pick a color.
The HOK Burple is high on the wish list.
This is a candy that is different depending on base color and number of coats. The test example above is over Gray, the car over White.
If you are really leaning toward this, I'd suggest shooting a few test panels with different bases and coats to get exactly what you want.

BTW, a few years back I saw an INTENSE dark Blue HOK paintjob. Asked the owner about it and was told it was an Orange (Red+Yellow) base with the Blue candy. Normally, mixing the three primary colors would end up muddy, but it made it very dark yet the highlights were brilliant.
Try a bunch of different bases to see the effects.
