Just thinking out loud after doing some research in the silvolite catalog....An LS1 with a 1mm overbore is 3.937, an Ls2 is a standard 4" bore, both come with a 927 piston pin so they'll fit any standard SBC rod. The zo6 slug is a floater and the std LS1 is pressed. So i'm wondering how tough would it be to eyebrow a factory flat top to mate to a mopar chamber? I believe the factory replacement slugs are non eyebrowed flat tops.

the reason I'm asking is the factory compression height is 1.335" so doing some math with a 6.125/2.100 rod you could fit a 4.25" crank pretty easily with the mopars 9.60-ish deck....so that's a 414 inch 318 and a 429 inch 360. Haven't worked the math with a 6.25" rod but there's no doubt other combos that would work in thoery anyway. What's better is the Ls1 uses a pretty slick short slipper piston design and low friction ring pack and they seem to hold up to some pretty serious nitrous blasts...even in some semi-skilled (from what I've witnessed) tuners hands.

Again just wondering out loud here, a lot of mopar stroker guys are already using chevy rods so...The first BBM stroker I ever built (many moons ago) used 454 truck pistons

I've got a couple Chevy buds and the LS stuff is pretty slick...i've got a tweaked 425-ish hp Ls2 Trailblazer SS 'tow truck/Mamas SUV) btw....
