The breather is only a draw at idle and light throttle. When you're really accelerating the PCV valve is now useless, no vacuum to operate it. Now the breather is venting the blow-by. Make sure there are baffles on both or you'll quickly oil soak the breather making it less effective, ugly and an oil dripper on your engine.
