Are 70 b-body rear ends the same width as 68-69? I worked on a friends, father's Cordoba back in the mid 70's that had some kind of big block motor in it, I thought? Did they not come with b/rb's factory?
cordobas 75-79 were B bodies, 80-82 were J bodies (same as mirada, and essentially the same as a 4 door F & M body under the skin).
'68-70 B body rears are almost identical width as the F/M/J's
I have a '68 satellite 8 3/4" in my M body.
if you go big block, do a B block, it fits much better. you may need to use a smaller diameter K car power brake booster.
my 5th ave (same chassis) with HD suspension, A500, 8 3/4, small block with eddie intake, A/C, PS,PB, power windows & driver seat and mustang bullit rims is 3950 lbs w/o me.
