I think these cars are neat looking, great factory wheels. Does anyone have an idea what one (1983) of these weighs with a small block, auto, AC, no t-top? Found a one owner, very clean red & white one. Sorry, didn't have camera. Would the big block mounts from a early Cordoba work for putting in an rb engine in this? Exhaust manifolds work or headers? What 8 3/4 rear housing fits? Thank you!

I put an 8 3/4 in an 82 Cordoba which is basically the same car. I got a housing from a 68-69 Charger I believe. The pad to pad length is just slightly different but it bolted up just fine. The only thing I had to do was drill out the locating hole on the axle pad to 1 5/8 because of the isoclamp system.
A Mopar magazine did a big block swap into a Cordoba in the early to mid 90's so I think it is possible.

Are 70 b-body rear ends the same width as 68-69? I worked on a friends, father's Cordoba back in the mid 70's that had some kind of big block motor in it, I thought? Did they not come with b/rb's factory?

The Cordobas from the 70's came with big blocks but the 80-83 Cordoba/Mirada only came with /6's and small blocks.
There is an 8 3/4 tech page here on Moparts that gives all the specs by body style and year.

Neat cars. Too bad Hurst didn't do a Mirada instead of an Olds. A Mirada with the Lightning Sticks and a t-tops would would have been so cool imho.

Here is M-body BB and 8 3/4" swap info, which also applies to J-bodies. V8 cars can use the '74-up B-body spool type BB mounts. Slant 6 cars need the Schumacher mounts.
