I agree you can modify the metering blocks instead of using the Quickfuel E85 blocks. That is what I did when I did my own carb back in 2008. The E85 metering blocks are not that expensive, and you do get something for your money:
- more adjustability (emulsions, IFR)
- anodized inside and out for corrosion prevention
- no porosity like cast blocks (potential)

A $400 conversion with billet E85 metering blocks is a better value than a $300 conversion with drilled Holley blocks.

I believe in the booster change also, but you can get it to run without it. But not optimized.
