What is the general consensus on RB cams. I have read a lot of people swear by them and others say they are old technology and more modern cams profiles are better.

There is a book on big block mopars where the author says to look for a hydraulic cam with duration @.050 that is 85% of advertised. On a solid look for 90%. This is supposed to indicate an aggressive ramp/lobe profile. I have looked at an RB ssh-25 cam with 238@.050 and 285 adverstised. Its 83.5% does this mean its not ground to take advantage of the .904 lifter? Most to the hyd cams I have looked at including the Comp and Lunati cams that are supposed to be ground for the mopar lifter do not come out to be 85% or more either.

I guess I should just take the cam grinders word for it. Who to trust? What are peoples thoughts about Jim from RB?

Steve
