Don't you think using DXR80 hardner with DT reducer is the problem?




well it's a big part of the problem,I agree, but using slower reducer will help lay the paint,so it doesn't skin over in 5 minutes, he can use urethane hardener in that enamel,I haven't shot much of PPG single stage,so I can't recommend anything, but shot plenty of old Centari and Imron . He might also have old catalyst ,which causing the haze,it's definitely not reducer. Also retarder can be used in the mix ,but it won't cure the haze either. It's possible that the enamel has old or wrong binder
