Pertronix converted distributors, the only way to go, the Factory or MP electronic ignition is just frought with to many componets, destined to fail, the Pertronix if installed correctly with the required componets, is very reliable, and trouble free, the car starts better, runs better, the cap stays clean, no carbon tracking, no pitting/burning on the rotor, and the benefit of getting rid of the ballast resistor is another plus,....until something else comes along better, the Pertronix is all I'll run,......got tired of "foolin" with all the other crap over the years
