Here's a simplified diagram:
Normally the wire which goes from ign to igniton and to one field is blue. This should have 12V from key in "run"
The wire from the other field to the regulator is normally green. The regulator controls the "grounding" so to speak of that wire. It sounds like the blue is not getting 12V
Have you been doing some rewiring, like, changing the igniton?
72 Demon, original /6 car now has a 360. It has a mallory hyfire ignition system (no ballast resistor). I have done some rewiring in that area so its possible I may have hooked them back up wrong. I will do some investigating into that.
Honestly the car has sat so long I can't remember the last time it had a full tank of fresh gas lol.
I'll look into the wiring of the regulator and see whats going on with that, thanks.
