I just did a rebuild on my 340 motor and am trying to decide if should replace torque converter before we put everything together. If I do would you guys recommend a stall speed converter. My motor has a com cam(XE268H) .477 lift/268duration cam. It will be used as a street car/daily driver.
I have been told you need to run a tranny cooler if you install a stall speed. I figure I just need around a 2,000rpm stall speed if I went this way.
Or should I just stick with a stock converter? Who would you recomend for a stall speed or stock converter?
Thanks guys,
