If the builder specs a 10w30 oil, the clearances should be such that 10w30 is the best choice. If the builder doesn't know how to do that right then you're going to be having other issues soon I'd say.....
Rotella is supposed to still have one of the best additive packages, funny everyone here is saying to get rid of it when almost every other forum (diesel, cbody, motorcycle) I read hails it as a good choice as other modern oils are becoming harmful to our classic engines.
