I don't find this to be true....I think it's a myth that may be based on some one wires in the past. My one wire makes 80 amps at idle...my car is mostly street ran...stop and go traffic, drive-thru's, etc. And it kicks on as soon as I start the car....and it idled at 650 rpm until I switched to the solid cam, never a problem at all. And I run the Taurus fan, and electric water pump,electric fuel pump, stereo, headlights, etc.
