BTW that 735 ponies was with a 390 carb on it ..it has a carb shop 950 on it now

that dyno was done at Arringtons shop....


Scott took one of the heads off and had a guy pretty famous around these parts(Jerry Arnold)flow it, and it stopped just a smidgen short of 400cfm




Sounds like you have an old Busch/Truck motor (those 390's really flow over 600), with a restrictor plate cam, did you already dyno to 8800 rpm with that 248/258 cam?

Not sure on the dyno info i know that is what Arrington told him, but not sure about where it made what power at.

Will be interesting to see how it runs and how the convertor he has will work.
