When I was growing up we had one of these in the family—yeah, it's part of the modern Jeep's lineage, a Willys-Overland "Jeepster." With a flathead 4 cylinder and a three-speed trans with overdrive, it was the very definition of "SLUG." But we built a ton of wonderful family memories around this car, especially with a club called the "Midstates Jeepster Association." That club was VERY family oriented... And yeah, that's me with my 3 sisters in the backseat, back when I still had hair!
The Jeep my bride bought is the only remaining manual transmission in our collection of rides since selling my old Road Runner to Lt. Dan. So I still enjoy having a car to row the gears in even if it's incredibly SLOW!
