That's what they used at our local dirt track.

My late machinist used to run in a 6 cylinder class back in the 70's. Engine of choice was 292 GM, 300 cube limit IIRC.They noticed when tech checked an engine, they only ever pumped #1 cylinder... Out came the engine, crank sent out to have journals 2 thru 6 offset ground to as much stroke as could be accommodated by whatever junkyard rods and shelf pistons were available.

She was a winner! Lol
