That's one of those ads that can either get you a smoking deal or is total waste of time. "Needs work" can mean anything , but either they're trying to hide how bad the condition is, or truly have no clue.

I used to search for ads with misspelled words like "Doge", or just a make without a model listed. I bought my '69 Coronet in California in 1989 from a newspaper ad that said "1969 Dodge, doesn't run, need gone, $1,000". Turned out to be a 2-door Coronet 440 with a 318 somebody tried to get running to help the woman. We pushed it into the street, set the choke, pulled the distributor to put in a set of points and condenser and reset the timing, and I drove it home 20 minutes later. Drove it for the 3 years I was at Vandenberg AFB.
