I would try and sell that 8896 and find an early Holley List # 9375 Dominator, they work great on a single 4500 intake on motors like you built with the stock jetting
I've used a bunch of them,9375 (the 8896 didn't work anywhere as good as the 9375 did) on many motors with great success, many guys that I let drive those cars were impressed with how good they worked
