An old '95 E320 with the M104 6 and somewhat clean and well taken care of, I never would have suspected this. Went to pick up lunch for my son for work, parked in the driveway to rush lunch in for him and figured I'd move it after he was off to work. It wouldn't start and so the long diagnosis started from camshaft position sensor, to crankshaft position sensor, to fuel pump testing, to denial that it may be the dreaded GREEN DEATH. Pulled the front engine cover off and there it was the first indication a ground wire with the insulation flaking off. mad The dreaded eco wiring harness that considering the car's shape and care it just couldn't be, but it was. realmad
