We have used the big (#10 and #12 AN) 100+ micron fuel stainless screen filters in the dual line swinging Milidon pickups with no oiling issues we saw years ago up
You could also buy some 100 micron stainless screen and fasten it and wrap it around the bottom of the pickup to keep the big trash out of the lines and pump work up
