Finding and buying a good torque converter can be very challenging, especially on the street: whiney:
I've raced Mopar BB and 426 hemi motors a lot of years and went through several different good converter companies
The best street and strip converter I was able to buy and use was a Turbo Action 8 ich SS/AA race converter that I was able to buy from a SS/AA racer in SO CA years ago, I bought a T/A nine inch from him also
That 8 inch was really good on the street, especially at light part throttle driving
I have had really good success using FTI trannies converters these last two years
