I was going to say, put a tape measure on them.

If they are a 340 hi-stall, and you put it behind a warm stroked big block, they will flash higher than they did behind the 340.

As recommended. try to make sure nothing is wrecked inside and they didn't come out of a trans that was wrecked. A little oil, a little agitation, and see what comes out the drain plug.


If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.
