Im not sure what kind of comparioson this is supposed to be, an early engine saddled with the crappy dual plane intake and a cam of what size ? VS a later engine with better intake and EFI...
Im confused but I would think a more meaningful comparison would be to stick a stock early motor with the factory EFI controled by holley VS an eagle engine controlled by holley, if your gonna saddle one down with a crappy intake do it to the other also.
That intake was more than the engine cost - the eagle has the long/short runner factory intake and the holley controls it. It would be a huge step backwards to carb an eagle. Even so, the old engine is 260cfm heads 9.5 cr, eagle is 330cfm 10.5cr....no comparison
