with that solved -
NOT - I took a look at the Barracudas
the 1969 Barracuda OPTION & ACCESSORY REPORT I have a copy of is for US shipped cars prior to 8/
??/69 and accounts for 80.7% of the model year's BARRACUDA coupe (BH23) & fastback (BH29) production
cars not included would be cars shipped to CANADA or overseas & cars still sitting on assembly plant holding lots waiting to find a shipping date/dealer/customer/etc., this totals 5,595 units (a number of these cars were surely 440 'cudas)
an issue that quickly arose: the 440 'cuda was an OPTION on the OPTIONAL 383 'cuda that was an OPTION on the base BH "Barracuda" & there are 383 Barracuda Formula S cars
all 440 automatic 'cudas started life as a 383 automatic 'cuda coupes or fastbacks & included a 3.55:1 or 3.91:1 rear axle ratio with a mandatory (extra cost) sure-grip differential
per the above mentioned report, the maximum number of 440 'cudas possible would be 309 units -
IF there were ZERO 383 automatic 'cudas built
the actual number would be lower
40% - 50% lower would be 155 to 185 units ??? & at those numbers the 383 automatic 'cudas would be "RARER"
