There are two styles out there; one from Jegs that only works with rigid rail pans, and one from Summit that will work with all pans, including the factory stamped steel ones. I actually just ordered the Summit style. They recommend RTV applied sparingly at the two gaps at the front and rear, struck down and allowed to cure, and the tray installed DRY. Take your time and clean the mating surface thoroughly (scrape, brakleen, etc). I wouldn’t try to torque the bolts to the factory number.


I just assumed everyone is selling the same one. I've used two from Summit Racing, purchased years apart, and the've been used on the Mancini Racing stock style 6 quart repro pan (has the stiffening dimples between bolt holes) with no leaks. Installed it like you mention
