Slants are cool because they are unique. You find a few off the beaten path engines in the comp classes. A couple centuries ago a guy named JP Keck (?) ran a 300 cube Ford six in one of the gas classes. He cut up 3 Ford Cleveland heads and welded them together to make one head, put it all in what looked like a Pro Stock Pinto and the thing flew. Unique builds like that are very cool. Today builders seem to have lost that kind of vision and just LS swap everything, BORING!
Good for you for sticking with the slant, have you considered cutting up some small block Eddy heads for it? Turbo charging it?
