It "looks like" the Indy unit ... more likely it was made by the same folks making the Indy units. I don't know this for a fact but I would imagine a lot of Indy's billet stuff is outsourced - just like their castings. Certain companies have certain strengths and expertise. If you try to do it all, something will suffer.

I also have one of those pumps but not the pickup. I'm using a Milodon road race pan with the integral pickup. 440 Source was blowing those out the door a couple years ago at a huge discount and I just couldn't resist. Haven't installed it yet.

Mine is for a remote filter so I won't have any worries about that gasket failure.
