I've never used a spreader either. Dial indicator, mic, slip on side bearings, torque wrench. Spool, gear, bearings,axles, studs less than $1K. Heck Dizuster turbo car still has the Junkyard gears. Doug
Mine still has the junkyard gears AND bearings. Race shop said they looked okay so off we went! Installed Dr. Diff Spool, axles and bearings and used 8 3/4 ends cut down on the lathe.
'63 Dodge 330 11.19 @ 121 mph Pump gas, n/a, through the mufflers on street tires with 3.54's. 3,600 lbs. 10.01 @ 133mph with a 250 shot of nitrous an a splash of race gas. 1.36 60 ft. 3,700 lbs.
