The Meziere pump on a small block presents some clearance challenges with electric fans. To pick up a little room I did a little welding on on the timing cover around the water holes. Then milled off the pump recess on the cover to make it flat and a back plate is not needed for the Meziere pump. I also welded up the fuel pump hole at the same time. This mod gave me about 3/4" more room Yes I have considered doing that as well, it just keeps getting pushed down the list haha. 68 Barracuda Formula S 340
